Think of this: The BBC Ukraine Editor was woken in the night as Russia invaded her country, tanks rolling across the borders, air attacks from missiles and bombers, and marine assault from the Black Sea. Mighty, corrupt, cruel Russia.
“I dressed my 10-year-old son. We had some breakfast, sitting as far from the windows as we could, but he was so scared he vomited. We took a candle and some water to our cellar, which will be our refuge if things get worse.”
A ten year old boy, so scared he vomited. This is life for millions today.
This blog is just one woman's experience, but there's quite lot of experience there.... no longer young, Christian, Mum, grandmother, writer, dramatist, and dog owner. I've written for TV, radio and theatre for over 30 years.
Past work includes devising and writing 'Soldier,Soldier', Peak Practice, Bramwell... and there are about 20 other TV projects including films, series, and mini series, as well as radio dramas and theatre plays. I'm still writing, still blogging, still me.
